Morgan County MO-AHGP Genealogy & History
Morgan County, Missouri was organized 05 January, 1833, from Cooper County, Missouri. The county was named for Daniel Morgan, a Revolutionary War general. The county seat is Versailles. The original courthouse burned in 1887.
Welcome to Morgan County, Missouri! This is a site celebrating the heritage of Morgan County, Missouri. My name is Laurie Kelley-Biswell and my ancestors come from not only Morgan County but all of the surrounding counties as well. This is a work in progress site and is part of the American History and Genealogy Project.
